Description

The Ladins are living in South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno. The Ladins are a non-kinstate minority, with a language of their own. The 50,000 people who belong to the minority form the Rhaetian language group, together with the Friulians and the Romansh people.

They preserved and fostered their language that originates from a Roman basis. In some Ladin kindergartens children nowadays learn three languages: Ladin, German and Italian.
